About this activity
Aquila OA has been a licensed Duke of Edinburgh's Award operator for over two decades. We deliver Bronze, Silver, and Gold expedition training, qualifying expeditions, and assessments — or we can support your school's own programme.
Our instructors know Dartmoor as a DofE route environment better than almost anyone operating in Devon. We plan routes that challenge appropriately for each award level and manage risk without removing the genuine sense of adventure.

Can you work alongside our school's existing DofE programme?
Yes. Many schools use us for specific elements — training, practice routes, or assessments — while managing the rest in-house.
What routes do you use for DofE on Dartmoor?
We use a range of routes across the northern and southern moor, varying by award level and season. All routes are assessed annually.
Do you provide equipment for expeditions?
We can supply tents, stoves, and group equipment for an additional hire charge. Participants are expected to provide personal kit (boots, sleeping bag, rucksack).
Can you deliver Gold DofE?
Yes. Gold is our highest-demand programme. Groups typically spend four days on the moor with full night camps.
